HURTS - Viral Advertising Dopeness.

Got Spotify!? Then check out the viral marketing for Hurts new album.

Novelist Joe Stretch has teamed up with the band to create a unique and compelling choose your own adventure style radio program 'Don't let Go' on spotify.
Narrated by Anna Friel the program is a surreal and engaging way to spend a half hour, and a great example of innovative marketing at its best.

I love (other peoples) sketchbooks...

Yes I love sketchbooks, good ones at least (so not mine).
Here is a collection of pages from one of Jason Sho Green's 'SUMMER OF ACCOUNTABILITY' project.

Check the rest here:

Suitably inspired, I'm off to ASDA to get a knock off moleskin...

Typographic Chairs...

Roeland Otten from Rotterdam designed these prototype chairs.

I think these are cool and hope they make it to production

The next logical step from paper planes?

Don Lucho’s Casa de Karton is a flat made entirely out of paper and card. With details drawn on.

I think this is cool...

One thing the Yanks definitely do right...

Hockey

American Football

Basketball

Sports Logos. It's no secret to those that know me that I love American sports logos.

Above are some of my absolute favourites and as I have no affiliation with any American city these are also my teams for each sport. Yes, I picked the teams I support based on their logo.
So what...

For those of you that are not familiar with American Sports logos those pictured are:
San Jose Sharks
Philadelphia Eagles
Memphis Grizzlies

Check out a shit load more teams and logos at this great site:

Unique Album cover, all 60 of them...

This Hubero Kororo's cover for Uceroz, a new Music brand from Ivan Palacký.
The first pic shows the clean graphic style of the cover before ownership, like how it would be seen in a shop or such.

However there is a concealed ink capsule within the cover that bursts upon opening, resulting in every cover having an ink blotch but because every one will open it slightly differently, they'll all be unique.

This I Like.

Sickest lift ride around!

This is the Radisson SAS Hotel in Berlin.
In the centre of the lobby they have a glass lift (elevator) and around that that have the worlds largest cylindrical aquarium. Housing 900, 000 litres of salt water and over 1500 fish of more than 50 species.

I think this is pretty mental, and would love to visit.

More novel uses for new technology.

This is the 'Rain Drum' basically think part umbrella, part drum machine.

As rain hits the various parts of the canopy the impact of the rain drops are translated into various drum sound effects.

Dope idea, but I'd imagine you'd want a mute button after a while...

New Technology within Posters.

In case you cant read the smaller text in the image it says:

"1. When no One is looking at the poster, it displays a typical scene of domestic violence"

"2. The 'eye tracing' camera registered when people looked directly at the poster"

"3. When a passer-by looked at the poster directly, the image changed (after a short, pre-programmed delay) into a photo of the same couple pretending to be happy."

I think this is an awesome use of New Technology within design.
